DiversitySamplingPlots
DiversitySamplingPlots is an application component of the database framework Diversity Workbench. It might be installed as part of a DWB environment, but also be used as a stand-alone application, e. g., in a local installation. Each DWB component is devoted to a specific data domain.
DiversitySamplingPlots is focussed on the management of individual sampling plots and assigned toponyms with their hierarchy. It is a tool designed for scientists in biodiversity, geodiversity, ecological and geosciences research projects. In this context it is appropriate to design plots for organising the geographical position of geoobjects residing in other DWB databases. DSP is able to import sampling plots from other sources and formats (e. g., ArcView shape files) classifying them hierarchically and annotating them, e.g. with toponyms. The Diversity GIS Editor is integrated. Data of other realms like, e. g., taxonomy of georeferenced single objects and documentation of the collection/ observation event are handled in separate modules. Furthermore the manual is provided as pdf file (for current version check DWB user manuals) and compiled help file in CHM (= MS online help format). The compiled help file is available for separate download but is included in the zip archive of the client application as well.
Client application
Current version
The client application is built for Microsoft .Net Framework 4.8.
Use the installer if you have administrator rights, otherwise use the DiversitySamplingPlotsUnpack batch file. For more information see General Download Notes.

Database
The database is built for Microsoft SQL Server 2014. Please make sure that you have Microsoft SQL Server 2014 onwards installed on your computer! (Check under control panel -> Software for Microsoft SQL Server).

Each client version will check internally for the actual compatible database version und update the version formerly installed to this version (rights as dbo needed!).

Client application
Final version for .Net Framework 3.5
The DiversitySamplingPlots application is built for Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 or higher. Please make sure you have the correct version of this software already installed on your computer! (Check under control panel -> Software for Microsoft .Net Framework).
New features:
- Feedback call has been changed to current Workbench version.
- Typo fixed in Help file Installation page.
- Database update for function SamplingPlotAllProperties().
- New Property query option implemented: Property - Terms.
- Hierarchy query option enabled again in Scientific Terms module connection.
- New query conditions "Plot localisation hierarchy" added to get the entries matching certain localisations and the inherited entries.
- New GIS-Editor features:
- The "DisplayText" could be shown in multiple lines for GeoObject tooltips.
- Fixed spaced font is used for GeoObject tooltips (for table like summary in DiversityCollection).
- Duration of showing GeoObject tooltips has been increased to 5 minutes.
- New PointSymbol "Circlepoint" has been added.
- Point symbols "Pyramid" and "Cone" has been adapted to "Square".
- Point symbols "Pyramid" and "Cone" has been made more smooth for thicker strokes.
- Bug fix: Centerpoint of Point symbol "Cone" was wrong, this has been corrected.
- Final regular version for DWB .NET 3.5.
