DiversitySamplingPlots
DiversitySamplingPlots is an application component of the database framework Diversity Workbench. It might be installed as part of a DWB environment, but also be used as a stand-alone application, e. g., in a local installation. Each DWB components is devoted to a specific data domain.
DiversitySamplingPlots is focussed on the management of sampling plots. In this context it is designed to document the geographical position of geoobjects and the geometry of the plots as well of georeferenced objects found on the plots. The Diversity GIS Editor is integrated. Data of other realms like, e. g., taxonomy of georeferenced single objects and documentation of the collection/ observation event are handled in separate modules. For an overview of the available DWB components see the Diversity Workbench Main Page.

Client application
Current version
The DiversitySamplingPlots application is built for Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 or higher. Please make sure you have the correct version of this software already installed on your computer! (Check under control panel -> Software for Microsoft .Net Framework).
New features:
- Source code restructured and cleaned up, obsolete controls removed.
- Inheritance of coordinates from parent plots (of upper hierarchy), if no coordinates assigned.
- WGS84 Localisation and GIS-Editor geographies have been synchronised. The geography objects may be created or changed using the GIS-Editor or the WGS84 control. Use the WGS84 control to delete them.
- Database updates added.
- Help file extended.
These bugs have been fixed:
- When a plot had been deleted, the next Plot was marked in the query list, but the data area had vanished.
- When a plot had been deleted, the next Plot was marked in the query list, but could not be deleted, too (had to be re-selected).
- When a new plot had been created, the last marked plot had been displayed again on the map: Re-display now is skipped if PlotID has not changed.
- When a new plot had been created, the new plot was marked showing an empty map area: Now GIS-Editor is switched to map mode for new plot.
- Hierarchy search: When having selected a search branch from hierarchy tree, the branch was shown in the combobox, but vanished after search, although still active.
- Download the .Net framework (see General Download Notes)
